Education
We are committed to making sure that all Carlynton students, whether kindergarten or 12th grade, receive the best possible education from highly qualified teachers in a safe, wholesome environment.
We believe that Carlynton School District’s success comes from its people. Our small size allows for strong bonds to be formed between teachers, students, parents and the greater community.
Our district has a track record of success, with elementary PSSA scores that are well above average, and a 92 percent graduation rate, according to the state Department of Education.
Some of our goals to further improve the education of Carlynton students would be to:
- Ensure that all students have the necessary support services to do their best.
- Increase grant-funded programs for technology, after-school programs and other educational initiatives.
- Improve programming at the Junior/Senior High School to both increase standardized test scores and better prepare junior high students for high school.
